What You'll Do: Performs general head, sinus, chest, abdominal, pelvic, and lumbar computed tomography procedures, as well as specialty procedures as requested; confirms images sent to Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), sends images to Vitrea as requested by Radiologist; operates power injector; assists with daily quality control procedures (i.e., imaging of phantom, checking contrast temperature and checking crash cart). Essential Job Functions: • Obtains patient's clinical history and appropriate lab work ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner. • Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. • Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. • Performs radiographic procedures by selecting and operating imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures. • Verifies informed consent and completes pre and post procedure documentation. • Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures.
