General Summary of Duties: We're looking to add a Radiology Technician to our growing team of medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be preparing the x-ray room daily for examinations, ensuring equipment is set up and functional, and accurately perform all routine and special radiographs with minimal repeat films. Duties will include but are not limited to completing all necessary paperwork, ensuring all exams are correctly charged, authenticating and dating reports of all examinations performed and making add them to the patient's clinical record. A basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology is a plus. An associate or bachelor's degree and two years related experience is required for you to be considered as a candidate. Typical Working Conditions: Full or part-time, inner-city medical office practice. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations. Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort. Inserting commands and data into computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast. Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation. Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records. Ensure all radiological equipment is properly sterilized and cleaned for other use. JOB TITLE: Radiographer PRN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs fluoroscopic procedures for the treatment of patients of all age groups, utilizing the guidelines of the professional radiology practice standards. Surround the exposed area with radiation protection devices, such as lead shields, or limit the size of the x-ray beam to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure. Once training is completed, PRN caregivers are expected to work at least four monthly shifts. Shift: PRN Float pool The float pool provides coverage for clinics that may open as early as 6:30 AM and stay open as late as 7 PM Monday through Friday. We also support InstaCares which are typically open 7 days a week and holidays from 7:50 AM to 8:00 PM, except Utah Valley which is open until midnight. Float Pool caregivers are expected to work the entire requested shift, usually 8-12 hours, and not partial shifts. Float Pool Rad Techs typically work at InstaCares, but may help at other clinics like Ortho/Sports Med, Family Med, WorkMed, Neurosurgery, Pulmonary, etc. InstaCare shifts are typically 12-hour shifts, and Rad Techs are used as a modified Medical Assistant in the clinic as well. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position; adjustment equipment controls to set exposure factors. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment; answering questions. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart. Maintains production and quality of radiograph or other media by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments. Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintains radiology supplies and inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. Two years (2) experience as a Radiology Technician. CT experience required. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist and able to be favorably credentialed. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required. Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a US citizen or be a permanent resident residing in the US for 3 of the past 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: Current adjudicated Department of Homeland Security clearance. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Physical Requirements: Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting as required for patient care and transport. Portable and fluoroscopy exam work as needed. Job Description

General Summary of Duties: We're looking to add a Radiology Technician to our growing team of medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be preparing the x-ray room daily for examinations, ensuring equipment is set up and functional, and accurately perform all routine and special radiographs with minimal repeat films. Duties will include but are not limited to completing all necessary paperwork, ensuring all exams are correctly charged, authenticating and dating reports of all examinations performed and making add them to the patient's clinical record. A basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology is a plus.

An associate or bachelor's degree and two years related experience is required for you to be considered as a candidate.

Typical Working Conditions: Full or part-time, inner-city medical office practice. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Ensure all radiological equipment is properly sterilized and cleaned for other use.
  • Maintain a list of all regularly used components and report any equipment failure immediately to the Medical Director.
