Utilizes computer systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS EMR systems and performs general clerical duties. Archives image data for permanent storage and appropriately sends images to radiologist group. Retrieves stored images form PACS or disc back-up and make CDs successfully. Demonstrates an understanding of medical and legal implications and responsibilities related to the imagine reports and images to protect the patient and the organization. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment and infection control. Assists/mentors staff/student with on the job training, clinical rotations and orientation. Assists with analysis, collection and maintenance of records as required by department manager, Quality Improvement, Joint Commission, MDH, ACR standards, OSHA guidelines or as may be required by the facility or law.
