Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Assess the age-specific needs of the patients. Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school. Registered ARRT. Current BLS certification. Florida Licensure as Radiologic Technologist by State of Florida. Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure. 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail. Performs a wide variety of general radiographic procedures including but not limited to, complex portables, Trauma Alerts unassisted, complex Fluoroscopy, Basic C-arm, and sterile contrast studies. All technical procedures will require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required. Assess the age-specific needs of the patients. Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school.
  • Registered ARRT.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Florida Licensure as Radiologic Technologist by State of Florida. Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure.
  • 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a hospital diagnostic imaging department.
