Positions equipment at proper distance and angles from body to specified area. Activates machinery from safety of protective enclosure or while shielded. Arrange, attach or adjust immobilization and support devices (e.g. sand bags, binders, tape to obtain precise position, prevent patient movement and lessen discomfort). Operates c-arm equipment to provide quality images for the surgeons. Coordinates surgery schedules to assure surgeons receive excellent radiology service. Performs clerical duties (In House PACS and Teleradiology Competent). Takes x-ray images in other areas of the hospital with portable equipment Transport equipment to areas such as operating room, emergency room, and patient rooms. Observe sterile techniques and complete procedures promptly. Assists with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation. Mentors and assists in the education of students enrolled in the School of Radiological Technology. Produces high quality images via digital imaging and presents the images satisfactorily for Radiologist interpretation. Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Radiology Department, Quality Assurance, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines or as required by law.
