Radiologist Trainee Duties: Provide expert diagnostic imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, physicians and customers in and outside the Radiology Department. This diagnostic imaging must be performed under the direction of a Radiologist Technologist. Required Qualifications: Second year student in UNMC Radiology program or Clarkson College Radiology program required. Currently enrolled as a Senior student in the University or Clarkson Radiography Programs; Must possess a temporary license from the State of Nebraska • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of three months clinical rotation experience in the X-ray department at NMC preferred. Reviews, approves and enters information in a timely and accurate manner after each patient. (Including: Patient Tracking Data (exam start/end times), Technologist's notes and name, Correct patient history), QA resolution, Moving exams, and Notifies the department and/or PACS manager of any errors or outstanding problems with completing patient data. Consults with the radiologist on duty to assure correct scanning parameters when necessary: Trauma, Difficult and/or infrequent studies Provides technical knowledge and/or monitors the delivery of radiological services: Works closely with the MD/PA to coordinate patient examinations that have special circumstances, Ensures that the daily operations are performed in a timely and proficient manner. Provides excellent patient care and creates an environment in which customers feel valued and respected. Radiologist Trainee Duties:

Provide expert diagnostic imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, physicians and customers in and outside the Radiology Department. This diagnostic imaging must be performed under the direction of a Radiologist Technologist.

Required Qualifications:

  • Second year student in UNMC Radiology program or Clarkson College Radiology program required.

  • Currently enrolled as a Senior student in the University or Clarkson Radiography Programs; Must possess a temporary license from the State of Nebraska •

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three months clinical rotation experience in the X-ray department at NMC preferred.

  • Be able to manage patients in a hospital situation preferred.

  • Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.

  • Proficient knowledge of multi-dimensional medical imaging systems, Vacuum pumps, Oxygen bottles, Patient transportation devices, Film processors and Radiology Information System preferred.
