Overview
Job Description
RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST
High Lakes Urgent Care | Bend, Oregon | Full-Time
THE SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
ABOUT THE COMPENSATION
We'll be straightforward with you: this role is compensated for an urgent care setting, not a hospital or high-acuity environment. If you're coming from a busier system, you may find the hourly rate reflects the lower stress and better schedule, and for the right person, that's exactly the point.
What you won't find here: trauma cases, complex on-call obligations, or the kind of pace that follows you home.
WHO THIS ROLE IS PERFECT FOR
- An experienced tech who's done with rotating shifts and ready for a role that fits around your life
- A working parent or caregiver who needs a predictable, daytime schedule above almost everything else
- A new ARRT graduate looking for a supportive, lower-acuity environment to build confidence and skills
- A semi-retired tech who wants to stay active in the field without the demands of full-time work
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our Radiology Technologist, you'll perform diagnostic X-ray examinations for patients of all ages in our urgent care setting - working closely with our providers to deliver results efficiently and with care. Day to day, that means:
- Performing and positioning patients for X-ray examinations with skill and compassion
- Delivering preliminary reports and quality images to physicians in a timely manner
- Maintaining equipment, supplies, and a safe, clean imaging environment
- Following radiation protection protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Communicating openly with the care team and educating patients in plain language
Urgent care imaging is varied and keeps you engaged. You'll see a wide range of cases without the intensity of a hospital trauma setting.
BENEFITS
- Paid Time Off
- 401(k) with discretionary employer match
- Medical coverage with in-network and custom network discounts
- Dental coverage
- No out-of-pocket charges for in-house lab testing
- Continuing education support to maintain your ARRT certification
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- High school diploma or GED
- Satisfactory completion of ARRT certification examination with current license
- Current continuing education compliance per ARRT requirements
- Two years of radiology imaging experience preferred but not required. New grads are welcome.
ABOUT PRAXIS HEALTH AND HIGH LAKES URGENT CARE
Praxis Health is a family of community-based medical groups that has been serving Oregonians for over 50 years. We're not a big-box health system. We're a collection of small, close-knit clinics with the kind of culture where you know your colleagues and your patients know your name.
High Lakes Urgent Care is part of that family, rooted in the Bend community and committed to providing excellent care in a setting that values both patients and staff. We adapt quickly, we don't have layers of bureaucracy, and we genuinely care about the people who work here.

This position involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids. All employees in this role are offered the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
