In the role of a Radiology Technologist II at Sollis Health, you will be responsible for the operation of our CT and X-ray equipment, performing diagnostics and ensuring that proper information has been obtained. You will also be trained and certified on how to run lab testing in a CLIA laboratory. We are hiring per diems who are interested in working both shifts and conducting piece rate scans. How piece-rate pay model works: A Sollis patient needs a scan. You will receive a text message asking if you are available to come into our facility to scan a patient. REQUIREMENTS: Technologists must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with TMB Maintains certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) Experience in OR operating C-Arm and O-Arm, extensive spine and ortho experience necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reviews and interprets physician order for the diagnostic x-ray procedure accurately Validates all patient identification before performing any diagnostic x-ray procedure accurately Communicates with patient to obtain medical history and/or specific medical information that is pertinent to the procedure and/or patient's wellbeing during the procedure Validates proper working conditions and technical factors of all imaging equipment and procedure room Explains procedure to patient to facilitate patient cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety; ensures patient comfort and safety Assumes responsibility for patient care during the imaging procedure to include infection control Follows procedure protocols and policies and procedures in performing diagnostic x-ray procedures Demonstrates competence in collimation, patient positioning and radiation safety to reduce radiation exposure as much as possible Practices radiation safety for patients, family, visitors, and self Critiques all images for image quality for interpretation Actively participates in the Quality Assurance program(s) Consistently demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities and deals with them promptly Establishes and maintains a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all members of the department and facility Demonstrates a willingness to learn new procedures and assist in other areas as needed Must be available in standby call to support the department/facility PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Overview: As a Rad Tech, you would be responsible for supervising and performing diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy; including performing radiographic procedures in the ER, Surgical Suite, Nursing Units, Main Department, and Ancillary Departments. Job duties include but are not limited to: Manage the Diagnostic and Fluoroscopy areas of the Radiology Department. Ensure that Diagnostic staff adequately follows performance guidelines as listed in the P&P. Coordinates the hiring and training of new employees and student aides Coordinates and oversees the activities of the Diagnostic personnel. Ensures adequate staffing. Performs employee evaluations on time, monitors employee conduct, and provides disciplinary counseling as necessary. Performs Diagnostic and Fluoroscopy exams. The X-Ray Tech is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.
