Reviews patient specific procedure orders to determine materials/supplies that will be needed. Sets up/ stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with all needed supplies and interventional equipment prior to procedure and cleans procedure room post procedure, including but not limited to cleaning of equipment/machinery. Conducts all necessary preparations of the patient procedure room and documents when appropriate. Explains procedure to the patient, answers questions and addresses patient concerns. Assists with preparing the patient for the surgical procedure by positioning, shaving and prepping. Performs patient transfers and transports patient to and from procedure room. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm Alternating schedule Week 1 - 4pm-8pm Monday and Wednesday 8am-4pm Saturday Week 2 - 8am-4pm Sunday 4pm-8pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic Radiology systems and preparation of patient room/equipment/medications. Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab. Certification/Licensure Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must be registered within 90 days of hire. Licensed Rad Tech required for staff employed in Virginia. PURPOSE

Performs radiographic exams to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Works effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, which include positioning patient, adjusting equipment settings to obtain the best density, detail and contrast of the area being imaged and determining proper voltage and exposure.

● QC images once taken.

● Provides appropriate patient protection following prescribed safety standards.

● Notifies supervisor of equipment repair needs.

● Maintains compliance with Texas Medical Board and ARRT educational requirements.

● Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.

● Regular and dependable attendance.

● Follows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on ARC SharePoint.

● Works holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Maintains work area.

● Stocks room supplies.

● Attends required meetings and in-services.

● Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or GED. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school. Experience working with all age groups. Familiarity with PACS image retrieval and storage. Experience in digital radiography.

Preferred: One (1) or more years of related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

● Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all diagnostic radiology procedures.

● Must be customer oriented in order to provide outstanding services to patients, physicians and co-workers.

● Ability to maintain awareness of patient privacy, confidentiality and dignity at all times.

● Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.

Certificate/License

  • Current licensure as a Registered Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.
  • Radiological Technologist must be in good standing with American Registry of Radiological Technologist.
  • Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required.

Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm.
