The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse is a health care professional that under the direction of a qualified Interventional Radiologist monitors/assist with procedures on adult patients requiring emergency, medical, therapeutic, diagnostic and invasive services that result in an accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment while maintaining maximum patient safety, high quality, efficient and personalized care to patients, families visitors, and other employees with respect for dignity of the individual and their physical, psychological, sociological , cultural and spiritual needs.

Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Licensed in the state where work will be performed

Specialized Knowledge:

CPR certification, ACLS certification, ECG rhythm interpretations and knowledge of critical care medications.

Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures

Kind and Length of Experience:

2 year's of experience including: critical care requiring critical thinking and problem solving in routine and emergency situations.
