The Markel Corporate Catastrophe Management team is seeking a Catastrophe Management Lead to join our Cyber Catastrophe Management team and lead the aggregation, modeling and reporting of affirmative cyber lines Corporately and within Markel US & Bermuda. Job Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and support to the cyber underwriting team. Lead efforts in providing and communicating exposure and cyber catastrophe loss estimates in a timely manner with limited supervision. Advance automation to further develop efficient analysis and reporting processes. Validate vendor cyber catastrophe models and perform change management analysis as the models are updated. Perform portfolio risk roll-up, apply applicable outwards reinsurance terms, analyze, and validate results in a timely manner. Relate mathematical catastrophe models to the real world and provide guidance to management that translates results to actionable items. Evaluate new business opportunities and potential acquisitions providing input to senior management. Proactively share knowledge in related areas, creating learning experiences and fostering collaboration within the organization, including mentoring and training less experienced analysts.
