Position Summary: Position is responsible for ensuring product meets Silgan, Slatersville customer specifications.

Functions: Performs first piece inspection utilizing various inspection techniques and instruments.

Performs activities in accordance with the quality plan and applicable quality, manufacturing, and safety

procedures. Reports unusually high percent of defective parts. Performs in process audits to visual

standards. Determines product conformance. If non-conforming, identifies inspection status and

reviews prior production. Ensures conformance to molding line clearance and order packet information.

Assists operators in training and development in areas of quality and decision-making. Maintains a neat

and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. Performs general housekeeping duties such as

sweeping and trash removal. When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other

duties according to skill and availability.

Requirement: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. · Solid

understanding of test equipment. Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production

experience. Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios,

and proportions. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities
