This pivotal role will be responsible for designing and leading the development of production-grade AI systems, from infrastructure to deployment. This is a hands-on position for a seasoned architect who can translate business needs into a clear technical blueprint, ensuring our clients' AI investments are built on a foundation of scalability, reliability, and security. Responsibilities: AI Software Engineering : Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI systems for our clients. Take foundational models from existing platforms and fine-tune them with custom data, prompts, etc., to achieve specific outcomes. MLOps: Lead the implementation of best practices for deploying and serving various types of AI models. Provide expertise in MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment, versioning, and lifecycle management. Cloud-Native AI: Architect and deploy AI solutions on AWS and other major cloud platforms, with a hands-on emphasis on using cloud-native services for computation, storage, and networking. Programming Mastery: Utilize exceptional proficiency in Python and other relevant languages (e.g., Typescript, Java, Pyspark) to build high-performance, production-ready AI services and tools.  Guide the selection and integration of appropriate AI frameworks ( PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face ) into the system architecture, focusing on their operational and scaling characteristics rather than just model development. Frameworks & Tools: Performance Tuning: Design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., using Prometheus, Grafana) to evaluate model performance, data drift, and system health in production. Cost & Resource Management: Develop strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization and managing the operational costs of AI infrastructure. Strategic Communication: Articulate complex AI architecture and technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effectively explain the pros and cons of different LLMs , models, and AI approaches to clients and leadership to secure buy-in for proposed solutions. Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding architectural decisions, ensuring code quality through rigorous code reviews, and establishing best practices for development. Architectural Vision: Drive the architectural vision for AI products, translating business needs into a clear technical roadmap and ensuring the team's work aligns with long-term strategic goals. Desired Skills & Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a significant recent focus on AI/ML system architecture. Deep hands-on experience in the core competencies listed above, including MLOps, cloud-native AI, and API design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders. Role Overview: MojoTech is seeking an experienced AI Architect to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing and leading the development of production-grade AI systems, from infrastructure to deployment. This is a hands-on position for a seasoned architect who can translate business needs into a clear technical blueprint, ensuring our clients' AI investments are built on a foundation of scalability, reliability, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • AI Software Engineering: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI systems for our clients. Take foundational models from existing platforms and fine-tune them with custom data, prompts, etc., to achieve specific outcomes.

  • MLOps: Lead the implementation of best practices for deploying and serving various types of AI models. Provide expertise in MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment, versioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Cloud-Native AI: Architect and deploy AI solutions on AWS and other major cloud platforms, with a hands-on emphasis on using cloud-native services for computation, storage, and networking.
  • Programming Mastery: Utilize exceptional proficiency in Python and other relevant languages (e.g., Typescript, Java, Pyspark) to build high-performance, production-ready AI services and tools.  Guide the selection and integration of appropriate AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) into the system architecture, focusing on their operational and scaling characteristics rather than just model development.
  • Frameworks & Tools: Performance Tuning: Design and implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., using Prometheus, Grafana) to evaluate model performance, data drift, and system health in production.
  • Cost & Resource Management: Develop strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization and managing the operational costs of AI infrastructure.
  • Strategic Communication: Articulate complex AI architecture and technical strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effectively explain the pros and cons of different LLMs, models, and AI approaches to clients and leadership to secure buy-in for proposed solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding architectural decisions, ensuring code quality through rigorous code reviews, and establishing best practices for development.
  • Architectural Vision: Drive the architectural vision for AI products, translating business needs into a clear technical roadmap and ensuring the team's work aligns with long-term strategic goals.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a significant recent focus on AI/ML system architecture.
  • Deep hands-on experience in the core competencies listed above, including MLOps, cloud-native AI, and API design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with various AI/ML platforms, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data architectures.
  • A demonstrated ability to self-motivate and to lead yourself and others.
  • A desire to be part of a growing, and constantly evolving team.
