Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular items, and upsell to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, responding quickly to requests or concerns to ensure complete satisfaction
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to sanitation and food safety standards
• Bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas as needed

Skills

• Proven experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols in the food industry
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations in fast-paced environments like fine dining or nightclubs
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances service quality
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like OpenTable reservations or suggestive selling strategies
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/hostess or server is highly desirable
