Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with hotel hazard communication program. Plan and conduct staff meetings. Attend various other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information. Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. What is required? A minimum of 3 years of experience in Housekeeping at a hotel in a leadership role. Excellent communications and leadership skills. Brand experience a plus. Assist in general clean program by changing all blankets, bedspreads, and mattress pads every 60 days or to brand standard. Complete assigned daily room projects (thresholds, patios, etc.). Assist in the carpet care program by spot cleaning guestroom carpets as the room is being cleaned. Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart. Report any material discrepancies beyond the scope of the Housekeeping Department to the Engineering Department via Front Desk hot log or work order. Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition, (i.e. associate lounge, associate locker room, and back of the house area). Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Inspect for clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, floor surfaces, etc.

 

  • Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.

 

  • Inspect for proper bed making by Room Attendants. This will require lifting mattress corners. 

 

  • Inspect for proper dusting of all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.

 

  • Inspect to confirm proper vacuuming throughout entire room and  that all trash is removed from the room. 

 

  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.

 

  • Sign for room keys. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room to be returned to available for guests.

 

  • Assist in the inspection of cleaned guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

 

  • Assists with assignments of special requests, issuance of supplies to staff and logs items into the Lost & Found log as needed.

 

  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.

 

  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

 

  • This position does not require previous housekeeping experience. It will require a keen eye to ensure properly cleaned rooms, to Brand Standards.

 

  • This position will require some weekend and holiday work hours.
