This hybrid opportunity offers the flexibility of working three days onsite in Ferndale, WA (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remotely (Monday & Friday) while contributing to innovative capital projects for industry-leading clients.

What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll lead and support electrical engineering design for refinery and industrial facility projects from concept through commissioning.
Responsibilities include:
- Design electrical systems for refinery and industrial facilities
- Develop one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and electrical construction packages
- Perform:
- Load calculations
- Voltage drop calculations
- Cable sizing
- Conduit sizing
- Grounding design
- Lighting calculations
- Perform power system studies including:
- Arc Flash Analysis
- Short Circuit Studies
- Protective Device Coordination
- Utilize ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower software
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications
- Develop scopes of work and technical documentation
- Prepare material requisitions and review vendor submittals
- Evaluate electrical equipment and recommend technical solutions
- Respond to RFIs during construction
- Support commissioning, startup, and refinery turnaround activities
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Maintain project budgets and schedules
- Ensure compliance with:
- NEC
- IEEE
- API
- NFPA 70E
- NFPA 497
- Participate in client meetings and provide engineering leadership throughout project execution
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- 8–10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience within:
- Oil & Gas
- Refining
- Petrochemical
- Chemical Processing
- Heavy Industrial Facilities
License
- Professional Engineer (PE) License Required
Technical Skills
