Job Description The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for oversight of the project safety disciplines and monitor day-to-day construction operations. Duties and Responsibilities Instill Safety as a top priority by monitoring and maintaining a safe work environment Implement and oversee the Project Safety Program including the development of site safety policies and procedures Conduct training, including new hire orientation and safety meetings Monitor all heavy construction work for compliance with safety requirements Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines, and ensure cost control measures are being followed Embody the Ames approach to Safety, being constantly vigilant of conditions and work practices, being empowered to stop all unsafe work Assess risk management and investigate incidents Provide and analyze project safety statistics Assist Project Manager with project setups Communicate with client and subcontractors Collaborate with regional safety team Other duties as assigned. The Electronic Control Technician is primarily responsible for installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining control instrumentation systems for beet and sugar processing systems. As ECT, candidates should be able to install, set up, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain a wide variety of instrumentation and control throughout the Factory. The principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Technician will install control networks and program the Delta V and RS III distributive control software including other associated hardware. Optimize the performance of control loops to ensure the efficient operation of the various processing systems. Work closely with operations gaining a detailed understanding of operating parameters ensuring that maintenance interventions are both appropriate and effective. Advise operations of process adjustment so the operating practices can be adjusted correspondingly. The Technician is required to understand equipment and system operating principles and fundamentals. Job Requirements: Candidate must, at a minimum, have a 2-year technical degree The candidate must have minimum of three (3) years of instrument shop/Electronic experience in all required instrumentation fields Incumbents will be required to pass a Skills and Aptitude tests and Safety Screen. Must be computer literate possessing strong keyboarding skills, be able to navigate in a Windows Operating Environment, and must be competent in the use of a word processing software program. Job Description

The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for oversight of the project safety disciplines and monitor day-to-day construction operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instill Safety as a top priority by monitoring and maintaining a safe work environment

  • Implement and oversee the Project Safety Program including the development of site safety policies and procedures

  • Conduct training, including new hire orientation and safety meetings

  • Monitor all heavy construction work for compliance with safety requirements

  • Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines, and ensure cost control measures are being followed

  • Embody the Ames approach to Safety, being constantly vigilant of conditions and work practices, being empowered to stop all unsafe work

  • Assess risk management and investigate incidents

  • Provide and analyze project safety statistics

  • Assist Project Manager with project setups

  • Communicate with client and subcontractors

  • Collaborate with regional safety team

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Five plus years of experience in a construction safety supervisorial role

  • Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of civil construction

  • OSHA 500 or equivalent preferred

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred

  • Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals preferred

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills

  • Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a security background screening

Working Conditions

  • Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels

  • Office Environment - extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally

  • Base salary range is $70,000 - $110,000 a year, which varies depending on many factors, including experience, skills, and knowledge.
