Sets priorities & maintains flexibility in order to assure that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner; arrives to work on time, notifies manager of unplanned absences, requests planned absences in a timely manner. Maintains an awareness and knowledge of new drugs & techniques; completes continuing education credits adequate to maintain eligibility for licensure and current CPR certification per facility policy. Supervises pharmacy technicians or students in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager and assists in the orientation of newly hired technicians or any students doing their rotation in the Pharmacy. Essential Job Requirements: Education : Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. Experience : Prior hospital and/or retail pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. Office Location: Bismarck, ND Apex Engineering Group has an opening for a Survey Technician located in our Bismarck, ND office.  This is an opportunity to participate in establishing and expanding Apex Engineering Group’s services in the region.  The Survey Technician will primarily work under and report to a Survey Crew Chief and perform typical surveys in the field  including topographic, boundary and construction surveys on various civil engineering projects including highway and urban roadway projects. Ideally the Survey Technician will also be capable of assisting design teams by using or be trained to use various CADD applications such as AutoCAD or Microstation when survey workloads fluctuate.  Typical Tasks and Duties: Work with a Survey Crew Chief or Land Surveyor while performing land surveying services including plane and/or geodetic surveys for construction, topographic, right-of-way, and control survey projects. Gathers field survey data through the use of conventional surveying and GPS methods. Prepares accurate field notes, drawings and records change in conditions while in the field. May be required to assist with construction observation duties on civil engineering projects. Learn and follow surveying methods and standards as required by state and public agencies. Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers and engineers on a consistent basis by providing updates and progress during all phases of projects. This position may lead to a more prominent role as a Land Surveyor or Crew Chief which will include becoming responsible for other survey personnel on a project and reporting to project managers and engineers. This position will require the initiative to think independently and make rational judgment calls. Effectively communicate with contractors, engineering staff and project owner representatives in the field. Understand and follow company employee handbook and mandated safety policies. Perform responsibilities in a conscientious, legal and ethical manner with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Travel and out of town stays will be required; may work overtime especially during the construction season. Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent is required. A 2-year Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Land Surveying is highly desirable (applicable experience may be acceptable in lieu of an Associate’s Degree). 2 or more years of topographic and highway/roadway construction staking experience preferred. Capable or familiar with operating GPS, robotic and total station survey equipment. Familiar with survey data collection and construction survey methods. Experience with CADD programs such as AutoCAD/Civil-3D or Microstation/GeoPak software is considered a plus. Perform simple surveying calculations using engineering calculator, laptop computer, and coordinate geometry software. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required. Must be willing to interact with people and work in team environments. Must be detail orientated, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. A valid driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain one.    Physical Requirements:  Ability to operate a computer under normal ergonomic office conditions. Required to work in an outdoors environment including construction sites and close proximity to traffic, noise and dust. Will require prolonged periods of standing and walking to perform some of the typical tasks and duties associated with topographic and construction surveying. May be required to clear vegetation, dig holes, occasionally shovel snow and pound stakes with hand tools. Must work scheduled and required hours in the office or onsite for projects. Ability to lift equipment or objects weighing 50 to 75 pounds. Must work required hours. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Nursing Teaching Assistant/Adjunct Clinical Faculty The Undergraduate Nursing Teaching Assistant/Adjunct Clinical facilitates student centered learning. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Communicate nursing practice objectives for specified areas with students; identify potential learning opportunities for the student in the nursing practice area; assign clients according to learning level, agency protocol and nursing practice objectives and course policy; supervise students in the nursing practice area Assess student preparation to ensure safe nursing practice; identify individual student learning needs; facilitate laboratory experience as appropriate Assist student to integrate theoretical concepts into nursing practice Evaluate student nursing practice written work; evaluate skill competencies of students per established evaluation tool; assist with and evaluate skill acquisition by the student; conduct individual evaluation conferences with students at midterm, end of semester, and as needed; provide written feedback to students on their performance; notify mentor or course coordinator of any student concerns in a timely manner Foster interpersonal relationships with assigned unit; Nursing Practice site orientation is required; communicate student expectations with facility; evaluate nursing practice site for effectiveness; provide a written evaluation of the practice area at the end of the academic year which addresses strengths and areas of concern Foster and emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration; encourage student to become self-directed Foster and model baccalaureate professional nursing roles such as: delegation, clinical decision-making, therapeutic communication, leadership, collaboration, professionalism Implement, evaluate and provide information for update of the nursing practice tool Initiate periodic ongoing communication with assigned mentor or course coordinator; attend monthly scheduled course meetings and end of course evaluation meeting. Participate in activities that facilitate maintaining the faculty members own nursing competence and professional expertise in the area of teaching responsibility Schedule required nursing practice hours per rotation needs with course coordinator: all nursing practice hours are mandatory; anticipated absences by faculty needs approval of course coordinator with plans for rescheduling nursing practice hours; unanticipated absences by faculty must be rescheduled ASAP with approval of course Coordinator; reschedule make-up experiences for students on an individual basis as needed with approval of course coordinator Lab Supervision: Communicate course and lab objectives with students; Identify potential learning opportunities for the student; Assess student preparation to ensure safe nursing practice; Identify individual student learning needs; Facilitate laboratory experience as appropriate Assist students to integrate theoretical concepts into the lab setting Evaluate student written work; Evaluate skill competencies of students per check list; Assist with and evaluate skill acquisition by the student; Provide feedback to students on their performance; Encourage students to become self-directed. Initiate periodic ongoing communication with lab coordinator; Attend scheduled course meetings. Job Description

Position Summary:To provide medication delivery services, patient and staff education, and to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department.Excellence in Practice:
  • Screen and interprets actual copies of original Physicians orders.
  • Dispenses routine, STAT and emergency medications to nursing units in a timely manner.
  • IV admixtures are prepared aseptically and are delivered to nursing units in a timely manner.
  • Maintains adequate inventories of controlled substances in the Pharmacy & on the nursing units and participates in the biennial inventory.
  • Assesses medication usage patterns, ordering quantities adequate to meet demands and prevent shortages & outs.
  • Participates in the annual physical inventory of all medications at the end of the fiscal year.
  • Takes part in drug usage evaluations and quality improvement activities; prepares & presents material for the P/T Committee if requested to do so.
  • Sets priorities & maintains flexibility in order to assure that all daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner; arrives to work on time, notifies manager of unplanned absences, requests planned absences in a timely manner.
  • Maintains an awareness and knowledge of new drugs & techniques; completes continuing education credits adequate to maintain eligibility for licensure and current CPR certification per facility policy.
  • Supervises pharmacy technicians or students in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager and assists in the orientation of newly hired technicians or any students doing their rotation in the Pharmacy.
Essential Job Requirements:
  • Education: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy.
  • Experience: Prior hospital and/or retail pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.
  • License Requirements: Must be a currently registered pharmacist in good standing with the Board of   Pharmacy in the state of North Dakota.
