We recently opened a branch in the Kansas City Metro area and are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to add to our coaching team. This fun, part-time position requires coaching the fundamentals of 10 different sports to kids, ages ranging from 2.5 - 6 years old. Amazing Athletes coaches must have a passion for sports and fitness and most importantly enjoy working with children. Our goal is to have a positive impact while delivering phenomenal experiences. We are looking for someone who can offer a minimum commitment of 1 year and hope the successful candidate will become part of our team long term and develop within this growing company. We are based in Overland Park, KS but have classes in Kansas City, Leawood, Prairie Village, Overland Park, Olathe and Lees Summit. This job offers a flexible schedule and does not require conventional office hours. Classes are typically conducted at schools or local parks in the mornings (9:00am -12:00pm) and in the afternoons (3:00pm - 6:00pm), being key times for availability. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Available to start the end of March/beginning of April. Must have reliable transportation as classes are held at different locations within the territory. Must have a clean, valid drivers license. Must pass both state and FBI background checks. Duties and Responsibilities: Fully proficient in performing the role as detailed in the PF Trainer Playbook. Available to train Planet Fitness members during all PE@PF small group training sessions. Design individual exercise programs for each member based on their exercise experience, medical background, and personal goals. These programs must be designed with safety, effectiveness, and be appropriate for the specific member. Submit all training programs and workout logs to the GM for review on a weekly basis or as requested. Inspect all equipment for possible malfunction or damage and report findings to the GM or AM. Perform general equipment maintenance like guide rod lubrication, cable inspection, belt inspection, seat pad inspections, and equipment testing. Log training session attendance data into DataTrack system. Track and record PE@PF success metrics requested by GM/AM. Monitor the primary workout areas to make sure that members are using the equipment correctly and or following club rules. Deliver daily the trainer key contributions: Engage with members to drive loyalty to the PE@PF program. The trainer should be motivational, inspirational, and provide continuous encouragement. Support members in achieving their individual goals. Promote the program to members. When a session is not booked trainers are expected to walk the floor and greet members they have not met. Look for members that need help and recommend they sign up for FREE training sessions. Foster staff member understanding of the PE@PF program. Teach staff about the different sessions offered and encourage them to communicate this information to members. Generate excitement for the program with the employees and members to increase PE@PF usage. Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere. Communicate with members professionally while creating a high level of customer service. Qualifications: Personal Training Certification that must remain active. Must start Trainer recertification process 1 month prior to their expiration. CPR/AED certification. HS diploma or equivalent required. Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop and supervise the work of others. Familiar with Excel mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements Demonstrate the ability, confidence and leadership to run a successful small group session with members. Great communication skills with internal and external customers. Must be team oriented, motivated and well organized. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older. • High school diploma/GED equivalent required. • Ability to pass a background check. • Willing to become CPR/AED Certified prior to gaining employment and maintain your certification while employed. • Must hold a current Nationally Certified Training Certificate and maintain your certification while employed. Physical Demands of the Fitness Instructor: • Continual standing and walking throughout the club to accomplish tasks during shift. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. • Will encounter toxic chemicals during shift. • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities. • Some bending, twisting, and reaching are required to accomplish tasks. Job Description

Amazing Athletes is a premier, sports based, enrichment program for kids. We recently opened a branch in the Kansas City Metro area and are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to add to our coaching team. This fun, part-time position requires coaching the fundamentals of 10 different sports to kids, ages ranging from 2.5 - 6 years old. Amazing Athletes coaches must have a passion for sports and fitness and most importantly enjoy working with children. Our goal is to have a positive impact while delivering phenomenal experiences.

We are looking for someone who can offer a minimum commitment of 1 year and hope the successful candidate will become part of our team long term and develop within this growing company. We are based in Overland Park, KS but have classes in Kansas City, Leawood, Prairie Village, Overland Park, Olathe and Lees Summit.

This job offers a flexible schedule and does not require conventional office hours. Classes are typically conducted at schools or local parks in the mornings (9:00am -12:00pm) and in the afternoons (3:00pm - 6:00pm), being key times for availability.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Available to start the end of March/beginning of April.
  • Must have reliable transportation as classes are held at different locations within the territory.
  • Must have a clean, valid drivers license.
  • Must pass both state and FBI background checks. (Includes DUI/DWI)
  • Offer a 12 month commitment with our growing company.
  • Attendance and Punctuality are paramount.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children.
  • Understand your responsibilities while in charge of children.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with directors, teachers, parents and children.
  • Teach classes in organized, structured, fun manner (training will be provided)
  • Be able to maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout every class.
  • Maintaining class rosters.
  • Passion for sports/fitness.
  • Background in fitness preferred (athletics, sports, dance, martial arts, gymnastics etc)
  • Experience working with children aged 2.5 - 6 preferred (Teacher, substitute teacher, camp counselor)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
