In this mission we support DEVCOM CBC in basic and applied research, development, testing, and evaluation efforts to support the U.S. Warfighter and ensure our Warfighters maintain battlefield dominance during a chemical and/or biological event. Specific efforts will include leading a team in analysis of chemical materials, development and characterization of novel materials to include polymers and thermoplastics and testing, evaluation, and modeling materials against traditional chemical warfare agents, non-traditional agents, and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and toxic industrial materials (TIMs). The research scientist subject matter expert (SME) will work supporting the DEVCOM CBC Principal Investigator and other research scientists, chemists, and engineers. Basic Qualifications.
