These positions are located on campus, internship-type positions are available for general office support, lab and technology support, and tutoring. They also require clerical, computing, and telephone skills. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities will be explained during the interview process.The Learning Center Computer Attendant provides front-line support for students, faculty, and staff using the library’s computer lab. The attendant ensures a welcoming, organized, and productive environment by monitoring lab activity, assisting users with technology, and upholding library policies. Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting users with logging in, printing, and basic software questions Assisting with keeping the Learning Center clean and organized Monitoring equipment and reporting issues Providing friendly customer service and enforcing Learning Center policies. Possibly assisting with the Ivy Tech Muncie ‘Literacy On All Levels Space’ equipment/ cataloging on occasion. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study. Strong communication and customer service skills. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and printing. Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently. Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures. Work Schedule: Flexible hours during Center hours, though 11 am – 1 pm are preferred. Compensation: Hourly wage according to institutional work-study guidelines.
