The Data Science Manager is accountable for delivering data science support across the commercial business. As a strategic partner to US Commercial teams, this person will develop and implement models and data science-derived insights that influence brands’ strategic priorities. These responsibilities will include driving the execution and interpretation AI/ML models, framing problems, and shaping solutions.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. What You Will Achieve

Commercial Data Science and Insights

• Provide data science and insights to US Commercial teams to drive brand tactic decisions

• Assist to frame, investigate, and translate complex data-informed models, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of brand strategies and tactics

• Partner with Sales and Marketing Leadership to support sales force execution

• Integrate data science and AI-enabled capabilities with commercial decision-making processes, explain complex models, translate observations into actionable insights, and find business impact

• Guide stakeholders via compelling and persuasive storytelling

• Strengthen the brand and sales teams' understanding of marketplace performance and opportunities by analyzing impacts of brand strategies and tactics and partnering on data product solutions

Collaboration with other GCA and COE teams

• Partner with GCA Integrated Insights & Strategy leads to incorporate data science capabilities and insights into analytics plans and recommendations

• Ensure alignment across COE teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders

Technical Skills

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Experience with machine learning technology and big data stack, such as: Python and its package ecosystem including pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, TensorFlow, PyTorch; SQL; cloud ML platforms and data visualization techniques

• Experience applying generative AI tools - including LLMs and agentic workflows - to accelerate analytics and insight generation

• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Understands quantitative and qualitative research methodologies

• Ability to partner with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Operations) to execute brand tactics

• Ability to connect, integrate, and synthesize data and analysis into a meaningful "so what" to drive concrete strategic recommendations for brand tactics. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business questions

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

• Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience

• Experience in business analytics/ Data Science function, and/or strategic consulting.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science.

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $99,200.00 to $165,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
