VICE PRESIDENT: Vice President of Academic and Transfer Programs
GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

This position is a primarily daytime position.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Biology or related field, with 18 graduate hours in Biology. Please attach copies of your transcript for review.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
- Teach 15-17 hours of undergraduate classes in Biology each term
- Academic advising of students
- Manage course grading and records management
- Contribute to department-wide program development and assessment
- Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts
- Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the general college community
- Maintain regular, required office hours to be available and meet with students
