Ergon Inc. is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our Tax team. The Tax Accountant supports various tax functions, including Sales & Use Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, Property Tax, and Business Licensing, by reconciling accounts, filing returns, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works in Sales & Use Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, Property Tax, and Business License.
• Reconcile tax accounts
• File Returns
• Assist in the customer tax setup in the billing process
• Review customer files to ensure Ergon complies with all states and exemptions
• Conduct tax research for multiple states
• Submit and request exemption certificates
• Handle customer tax adjustments
• Assist company accountants with tax rules and regulations

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent
• Two years of prior accounting experience preferred
