Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, acute care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing urgent and emergent medical conditions and be committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver emergency medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of urgent and life-threatening conditions Administer critical interventions, including resuscitation and stabilization procedures Perform both minor and major procedures such as laceration repair, wound care, endotracheal intubation, and central line placement Manage complex clinical presentations such as cardiac events, trauma, neurological crises, and respiratory emergencies Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, lab results, and imaging studies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care Provide clinical oversight and consultation to physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) Accurately document all care activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, VA policies, and patient safety standards Participate in quality improvement and performance monitoring initiatives Qualifications: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (strongly preferred) Physicians Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine must have at least 2 years of recent emergency department experience within the last 5 years Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements prior to the start of work Proficiency in emergency medicine procedures and experience managing a high-acuity, high-volume ED Familiarity with VA EHR systems (e.g., CPRS/VISTA or Oracle Cerner) preferred Work Schedule: The Emergency Department operates 24/7, 365 days/year Physicians must be available to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts on a rotating basis Ideal Candidates Will Possess: Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure clinical settings Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to continuous learning and excellence in care delivery

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, acute care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing urgent and emergent medical conditions and be committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver emergency medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of urgent and life-threatening conditions

  • Administer critical interventions, including resuscitation and stabilization procedures

  • Perform both minor and major procedures such as laceration repair, wound care, endotracheal intubation, and central line placement

  • Manage complex clinical presentations such as cardiac events, trauma, neurological crises, and respiratory emergencies

  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, lab results, and imaging studies

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care

  • Provide clinical oversight and consultation to physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs)

  • Accurately document all care activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, VA policies, and patient safety standards

  • Participate in quality improvement and performance monitoring initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (strongly preferred)

    • Physicians Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine must have at least 2 years of recent emergency department experience within the last 5 years

  • Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

  • Must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements prior to the start of work

  • Proficiency in emergency medicine procedures and experience managing a high-acuity, high-volume ED

  • Familiarity with VA EHR systems (e.g., CPRS/VISTA or Oracle Cerner) preferred

Work Schedule:

  • The Emergency Department operates 24/7, 365 days/year

  • Physicians must be available to work day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts on a rotating basis
