Job Description

- Provide professional clinical services, including, but not limited to:
- Develop, implement and maintain skills group and expressive/art therapy group curriculum;
- Facilitate group services utilizing Art Therapy interventions;
- Perform psychosocial assessments and expressive therapy assessments;
- Conduct treatment planning including creating and editing individualized treatment plans in the electronic medical record;
- Provide care coordination, after care planning and case management services to assigned patients;
- Provide crisis intervention;
- Conduct family and individual therapy; and
- Cross train to facilitate the intake process, including concurrent review process.
- Collaborate with other treatment team members regarding treatment planning, progress, and ongoing needs in a timely and consistent manner.
- Contact service providers and schools to obtain collateral information and provide mental health updates on current patients to increase continuity of care amongst professionals.
- Aid the Bluestone Social Worker with completing assessments, discharge planning, care coordination and family communication.
- Provides assistance and back up support to the inpatient social workers, Intake and other aspects of the inpatient program, as directed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
- All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
- Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required.
- Licensure: Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) through the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board OR Registered Art Therapist with Board Certification (ATR-BC).dependency treatment a plus.her familyf which they live.rolled in OihoRise and connected to
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills with knowledge/experience in the following areas: systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions.
- Culturally competent knowledge of treatment planning, family systems, systems and methods in family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, and adolescent psychotherapy.
- Knowledge of children’s and family mental health system.
- Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.
- Proficiency in using Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions.
- Experience: Experience with children, adolescents, and families. Demonstrated clinical experience in chemical dependency treatment.
