What You'll Do The Inventory Supervisor will plan and coordinate all shift activities primarily focused on the Inventory Control Quality Assurance and Replenishment activities of our fulfillment operation in a consumer goods industry. This individual will assist the Operations Manager in planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to ensure efficiency and accuracy for all outbound processes. The working shift schedule position is Day Shift - Tuesday through Saturday with Wednesday being a split shift to provide support to our second shift operations. Responsibilities Ensure ICQA & Replenishment crews receive proper training, skill development, and assessment per company guidelines. Proactively recommend and implement improvements to continuously drive increased efficiency and quality . Implement specific objectives and performance measures through KPIs for all shift personnel to maximize productivity. Supervise special projects as needed. Achieve and maintain compliance with company and federally mandated regulations regarding food safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT. Ensure execution of daily operations within the department, solve/respond to production problems. Compile production and personnel statistics into spreadsheets or databases. Reinforce policy and procedure compliance. JOB DUTIES HEARTS Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet the customer's needs. Provide assistance to the Operations Manager during any physical inventory period. Ensure that the "Sample" tape is applied to all wood boxes that have been written off to "Sam". If not, notify the department manager to immediately address. Run the OSDR Report for DMG, RTV, VA, DIS, WO, CHR, PRV, USE, LF, STL, WEB and SAM monthly to ensure correct movement of merchandise was done and correct any discrepancies. Document report of findings/corrections, submit to the Operations manager for review, both initial and archive monthly in the cycle count drawer. Check a minimum of 10 customer receipts daily and randomly. Either "Pickup" and or "Take With" Tickets. Any discrepancies adjust immediately and notify CEM/Operations Manager of mistake(s). Communicate to Store Management Team the discrepancies found in the day's CCYL and propose solutions to fix the issues which may have caused and or potential may cause shrink via e-mail. Failure to fix the outstanding issues upon your follow-up, you will need to notify the CEM/Operations manager immediately. Maintain all cycle count paperwork per SOP. Follow-up to ensure that all changes were implemented. The Inventory Supervisor will plan and coordinate all shift activities primarily focused on the Inventory Control Quality Assurance and Replenishment activities of our fulfillment operation in a consumer goods industry. This individual will assist the Operations Manager in planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to ensure efficiency and accuracy for all outbound processes.

The working shift schedule position is Day Shift - Tuesday through Saturday with Wednesday being a split shift to provide support to our second shift operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure ICQA & Replenishment crews receive proper training, skill development, and assessment per company guidelines.
  • Proactively recommend and implement improvements to continuously drive increased efficiency and quality .
  • Implement specific objectives and performance measures through KPIs for all shift personnel to maximize productivity.
  • Supervise special projects as needed.
  • Achieve and maintain compliance with company and federally mandated regulations regarding food safety, OSHA, HazMat and DOT.
  • Ensure execution of daily operations within the department, solve/respond to production problems.
  • Compile production and personnel statistics into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Reinforce policy and procedure compliance.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of experience in a semi- automated environment
  • Continuous improvement experience
  • 3-5 year's experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
  • Experience developing or launching lean implementations (assessments, roadmaps, training development, etc.)
  • Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourceful and adaptable
  • Proven project implementations with demonstrated process improvement, KPI & financial results
  • Hands-on experience using wide range of management tools such as (value stream mapping, fish bone diagram, pareto diagram, 5S, visual management, Kanban, Kaizen, Standard Work)
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods of time
  • Bachelors' degree preferred/ HS Diploma/GED Required
  • Must be able to work Day Shift Hours Tuesday through Saturday with Wednesday being a split shift to support Night Shift operations.

  • The Inventory Supervisor serves as the front line leader for all things inventory related and is a member of the outbound operations team and will report to the operations manager.
  • The Inventory Supervisor will manage a team of 7 hourly Lead's and 50+ hourly Team Members
