You will be the Inventory Control Specialist B for the Missiles and Fire Control team in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for supporting shop floor production and maintaining accurate inventory reports, and we're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Inventory Control Specialist B, you will be responsible for performing a variety of material handling duties, including loading and unloading, storage, issue, and delivery of materials, tools, parts, and equipment. You will also be responsible for collecting materials, tools, and blueprints required for production, operating lifting and loading equipment, and using SAP to make material movements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting shop floor production and performing duties required to load/unload, store, issue, and deliver materials, tools, parts, and equipment
  • Collecting materials, tools, and blueprints required for production
  • Performing material handling duties, including loading and unloading, storage, issue, and delivery
  • Operating lifting and loading equipment, including occasional use of hand/power tools and saws
  • Using SAP to make material movements and maintaining accurate inventory reports
  • Moving completed items from one area to the next and reading work orders to ensure proper location
  • Assisting shop personnel in the movement of required work in their area
  • Arranging materials within racks, bins, and shelves to facilitate efficient storage
  • Preparing and completing necessary paperwork and using a personal computer to check the status and location of parts
  • Originate and maintaining required records and logs, and verifying all material to documentation required to perform listed duties
  • Utilizing and operating appropriate equipment to facilitate the movement of items between locations
  • Handling hazardous materials, as required
