Responsibilities

  • Develop a schedule for cycle counts in coordination with the CFO and Operations Manager • Conduct a physical inventory on all items identified on the cycle count schedule and additional items as necessary • Ensure all required cycle counts are completed within the fiscal year. • Record counts and maintain locations using WMS or ERP systems • Identify and generate recounts on any items with discrepancies exceeding normal tolerances • Assist with inventory audits • Conduct "Immediate Cycle Counts" on a daily basis. • Research zeroed items and identify and communicate potential causes. • Research and correct negative inventory values • Generate and review variance reports from daily cycle counts • Summarize and review variance report issues with the Operations Manager • Respond to inventory inquiries from Purchasing Agents and Inside Sales Reps • Investigate inventory discrepancies with the appropriate parties including the receiving and transfer crews. • Monitor location maintenance changes, correct errors and report any ongoing issues to the Operations Manager • Review the Returned Goods Queue on a weekly basis and report potential problems to Purchasing Agents and the Operations Manager • Edit the previous day's business. • Reconcile the cash box and make daily bank deposits • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • 2 plus years of experience in warehousing operations or inventory control

  • Work requires an above average knowledge of items in inventory including locations, colors, uses, substitutes, storage requirements, identifiers etc. This position must have an acceptable credit and background check.
