You will become well versed in the use of our inventory software which will be used to properly receive orders, perform routine physical inventory counts, and reconcile inventory variations. On a daily basis you can expect to catalog and put away items that are received, and answer any questions that our repair technicians may have. Your work will be both physically and mentally challenging with a high level of precision required. Our inventory includes electronic components, chemicals, general production supplies, and various other items as needed. You may operate warehouse equipment like scissor lifts and forklifts, with proper training, and should be prepared to be asked to do so. Proper PPE is supplied and expected to be worn when needed. Job Description

The Operations & Inventory Manager at Farmhouse Pottery will play a pivotal role in optimizing the supply chain and ensuring the efficient flow of products from supplier to customers. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and operational efficiency, ensuring that the warehouse and production teams are equipped to meet the needs of our growing business.


Key Responsibilities include:

Inventory Management

  • Practice inventory management strategies to ensure accurate stock levels that meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory
  • Oversee inventory control procedures and accurate recording of all inventory transactions
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Monitor KPIs and analytics related to inventory turnover, stock levels, and product performance

Operational Efficiency

  • Streamline operations to improve productivity and minimize costs
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse staff to implement best practices in operational workflow
  • Analyze operational data and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to maintain optimal levels of raw materials and finished goods

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, and develop staff within the operations, warehouse and inventory teams
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and quality among the operations staff

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems (experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus)
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with experience in training and mentoring staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management and logistics
