Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving – Lead Responsibility Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing merchandise. Verify packing lists, invoices, and product accuracy before processing. Coordinate product routing between departments and ensure organized, secure storage. Ensure the timely and accurate movement of merchandise to designated locations. Physical Inventory Support Assist with annual, quarterly, and periodic physical inventory counts. Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and physical stock. Maintain inventory accuracy across systems and physical storage locations. Inventory Management & Replenishment Support inventory replenishment efforts across key product categories, including watches, special orders, and David Yurman (DY) collections which includes coordinating directly with the DY team. Coordinate stock updates, restocking efforts, and data entry for high-value merchandise. Help maintain stock balance across showcases and storage areas. Must follow all security protocols. Must maintain confidentiality and handle high-value inventory securely. Special Orders – Watches Oversee the full lifecycle of watch-related special orders, including vendor communication, timeline tracking, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate. Work closely with the sales team to update customers and track special order progress. Perform quality control (QC) on incoming special orders to ensure accuracy and condition before delivery. Quality Control (QC) Conduct thorough quality inspections for all incoming merchandise, special orders, and repairs. Ensure all products meet standards for accuracy, condition, and presentation before they reach the sales floor. Operational Oversight Monitor backdoor deliveries, vendor arrivals, and other visitors to ensure compliance with store security procedures. Maintain organized inventory storage and assist with internal product flow across departments. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or luxury retail operations preferred. Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with retail inventory systems (EDGE experience preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external vendors. Ability to adapt to process improvements and implement them as needed. Must be able to lift and move boxes, open and close packaging, and perform tasks requiring good manual dexterity. Inventory Shipping/Receiving Specialist (Fine Jewelry & Watches)

About the RoleDavis Jewelers, a high-end destination jewelry store, is seeking an Inventory Shipping/Receiving Specialist to manage the flow of merchandise in and out of the store. This critical position ensures product accuracy, maintains inventory integrity, and oversees the secure handling and movement of fine jewelry, watches, and accessories. As a recruitment partner, we are looking for a detail-oriented professional to support shipping, receiving, and inventory management in this fast-paced luxury retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipping & Receiving – Lead Responsibility
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
    • Maintain and update the Incoming shipping log daily to track all shipments.
    • Process all shipments in compliance with store security and handling protocols.
    • Verify packing lists, invoices, and product accuracy before processing.
    • Coordinate product routing between departments and ensure organized, secure storage.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate movement of merchandise to designated locations.
  • Physical Inventory Support
    • Assist with annual, quarterly, and periodic physical inventory counts.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and physical stock.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy across systems and physical storage locations.
  • Inventory Management & Replenishment
    • Support inventory replenishment efforts across key product categories, including watches, special orders, and David Yurman (DY) collections which includes coordinating directly with the DY team.
    • Coordinate stock updates, restocking efforts, and data entry for high-value merchandise.
    • Help maintain stock balance across showcases and storage areas.
    • Must follow all security protocols.
    • Must maintain confidentiality and handle high-value inventory securely.
  • Special Orders – Watches
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of watch-related special orders, including vendor communication, timeline tracking, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Work closely with the sales team to update customers and track special order progress.
    • Perform quality control (QC) on incoming special orders to ensure accuracy and condition before delivery.
  • Quality Control (QC)
    • Conduct thorough quality inspections for all incoming merchandise, special orders, and repairs.
    • Ensure all products meet standards for accuracy, condition, and presentation before they reach the sales floor.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Monitor backdoor deliveries, vendor arrivals, and other visitors to ensure compliance with store security procedures.
    • Maintain organized inventory storage and assist with internal product flow across departments.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or luxury retail operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with retail inventory systems (EDGE experience preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to adapt to process improvements and implement them as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes, open and close packaging, and perform tasks requiring good manual dexterity. 
  • Responsibilities also include breaking down boxes and maintaining workspace organization.

  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-security, camera-monitored environment with a shared office space
