The Director serves as the operational expert for Home Medical Equipment (HME) services within the WVU Health System, providing strategic leadership, oversight, and direction to ensure excellence in service delivery. This role focuses on aligning operations with organizational goals, maintaining regulatory compliance, and upholding the highest quality standards. The Director is responsible for optimizing processes, driving revenue growth, and enhancing patient and provider satisfaction. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Director leads the development of strategic initiatives, improves operational performance, and cultivates a high-performing team to support the success of the HME department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
High school diploma or equivalent AND Ten (10) years' experience in durable medical equipment management.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field AND five (5) years of experience in durable medical equipment.

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for DME operations, aligning with the overall goals and priorities of the organization to drive long-term success and sustainability.
Champion business growth by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, analyzing market trends, and implementing strategies to expand the customer base and enhance competitive positioning.
Continuously assess and refine workflows, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient operations, seamless service delivery, and optimal performance across all aspects of the HME division.
Oversee the financial management of the HME division, including budget development, cost analysis, and variance reporting, to ensure fiscal responsibility and support sustainable growth.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
Inspire and lead a high-performing team through mentorship, training, and performance management, cultivating a supportive environment focused on professional growth and excellence.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation, encouraging continuous improvement and the pursuit of operational excellence.
Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, corporate staff, suppliers, and external partners, to advance organizational goals and priorities.
Collaborate with billing, compliance, and marketing teams to align operations, streamline processes, and drive revenue growth while ensuring a positive patient and provider experience.
Drive market expansion initiatives by leveraging data and analytics to identify growth opportunities and implement strategies that enhance market share and visibility.
Monitor revenue cycle metrics and lead the development of targeted strategies to maximize financial performance and operational efficiency.
Educate internal and external stakeholders on emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in DME products and services, positioning the organization as a leader in the field.
Partner with suppliers to secure high-quality, cost-effective products, ensuring a consistent supply of resources to meet patient and provider needs.
Serve as the go-to resource for resolving complex operational challenges, fostering trust and satisfaction among patients, providers, and other stakeholders.
Lead and manage change initiatives to support organizational growth, adaptability, and the successful implementation of new programs and strategies.
