About the role: General Accountability: The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for preparing bottles orders to be shipped directly to the client for sampling and providing ALS clients with all necessary sample pick-ups and drop-offs. Position Responsibilities As a Senior Staff Engineer, Finance Data Specialist supporting Finance Systems you will: Leverage your deep Functional and Technical systems expertise to drive towards the right solution to support the department and GEICO's current and future needs Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle Lead design sessions with peers to ensure systems are well designed, efficient, and meet Business expectations Collaborate with Finance Leaders within the FP&A, Controllers, Financial Reporting, and Finance QA & Systems team along with the Data Engineering and Finance Technology leaders to ensure organizational goals are met Have a deep understanding of Finance functions to support the establishment of a vision and technology roadmap to build out a Finance Data Lake/Warehouse Have a good understanding of finance data lake/mart with Data processing/data transformation using ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, DBT, etc. Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for data ingestion and transformation projects Experience working with cloud data solutions (Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hudi, Snowflake, Redshift or equivalent) Support the development of a roadmap and then work towards implementing Revenue and Expense Analytical solutions Work with Business Sponsors to develop project roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability Support and influence customers and stakeholders, and work through divergent expectations Support the implementation of a strong control and governance framework and maintain it for SOX and Audit reviews Support Business and Technology discussions at various leadership levels to ensure alignment towards long term goals of Finance and Technology Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams Qualifications 20+ years of Finance Systems experience with industry leading ERP solutions (e.g. implementing and supporting PeopleSoft; Oracle EBS; Oracle Cloud; Workday; or SAP) 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting FP&A applications (Preferred) 5+ years working with or supporting a Finance Data Lake/Warehouse/Mart along with various Financial Reporting tools Solid understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling Strong working knowledge of Data processing/data transformation using ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, DBT, etc. Strong working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write, debug and optimize SQL queries and ETL jobs 5+ years as a lead or architect supporting Financials via the major vendors (e.g. PeopleSoft; Oracle EBS; Oracle Cloud; Workday; or SAP) Deep Finance domain expertise to be able to work with senior Finance leaders to interpret their process and functional needs into system solutions Strong understanding of FP&A Budgeting, Planning, and Reforecasting processes Experience in implementing or supporting Revenue or Expense analytical solutions via tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. Strong understanding of Accounting process and reporting expectations to partner with senior Finance Leaders Ability to communicate and work directly with leaders across Technology and Finance Sound understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Knowledge and experience with the software development life cycle Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent education or work experience Annual Salary $115,000.00 - $260,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Accountabilities:

  • Physical examination of surface and underground work areas of the mine (three hours prior to men entering the mine). Including checking surface belt systems, airways, bleeder evaluation points, and walking belts.
  • Identify and supervise the elimination of hazardous conditions derived from roof conditions, dust, gas, and those related to material handling, movement of equipment and electrical power distribution.
  • Taking air velocities, checking for mine gases and recording findings of mine condition in proper books.
  • Conduct pre-shift and on-shift examinations including review of examiner's book, equipment conditions, section conditions, roof and roadway conditions as required.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • WV Underground Miner's Certification
  • WV Underground Foreman Certification
  • Minimum 5 years UG experience
  • Minimum 2 years UG examination experience
  • Thorough knowledge of underground mining practices, equipment and procedures, State and Federal mine laws, as well as company policy.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
