Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting patients into and out of bed, chairs, bath, wheelchairs, etc. utilizing proper body mechanics. Report all allegations of patient abuse and/or misappropriation of patient property as per federal requirements and per policy/procedure. Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur per Policy/Procedure. Assists patient with specialized feeding techniques as per recommendations of the speech therapist in accordance with policy and procedure. Assist with ambulation, gait training and CPM administration as instructed by the physical therapist. Apply orthopedic devices such as AF orthosis, abduction braces, hinge joint immobilizer per instruction of the physical therapist. Use safety equipment and supplies (mechanical lifts, steady's, etc.) when lifting or moving patients who requires more than one person assistance.
