Job Description
Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team supporting our ophthalmic surgery center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Our employees benefit from a four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring aseptic technique is followed at all times.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Maintain and track surgical instrument sets and equipment.
- Sterilize surgical instruments as needed.
- Assist with Inventory and freight management.
Qualifications
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a surgical setting or clinic environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and optical experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to handle medical records efficiently while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
