Summary: Results-driven Quality Manager with sharp critical thinking skills and deep knowledge of problem solving, quality systems and tools, internal and external product and process validation, quality tools and warranty claims management. Lead and facilitate problem solving activities targeting customer satisfaction and reduction of cost of non-quality. Be the company reference in the problem-solving topic and train/coach sites on the implementation and execution of QRQC. Implement, monitor and update all aspects of the CSMI Quality System to comply with internal and 3rd party requirements as identified. Work with Purchasing, Operations and Engineering on product and process validation. JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as the company expert in problem-solving tools and facilitate QRQC training, coaching, and audits across sites. Lead structured investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions using tools such as 5W2H, 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA, and Pareto analysis. Manage supplier quality assurance activities, including PPAP approvals, process audits, and supplier development initiatives. Drive timely and accurate warranty claim investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions, including data tracking, customer support, field investigations, and supplier reimbursement coordination Manage and oversee the Weather Tight Warranty (WTW) database and reporting. Monitor and continuously improve the CSMI Quality System in accordance with internal policies and third-party requirements. Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to develop and validate product and process control plans. Lead and support internal audits, third-party certifications, and compliance with industry standards including UL, IAS, FM, ICC-ES, and Florida requirements. Support the Project Validation Committee to secure successful launches of new products and processes. Drive quality KPIs and cost-of-quality improvements across fabrication, assembly, and installation. Develop and validate internal & supplier manufacturing/test/inspection plans, procedures. Visit manufacturing sites, customers or suppliers when necessary to resolve outstanding claims. Provide information or testimony for legal disputes. Provide leadership and mentorship to the quality team and cross-functional partners. Provide technical training and leadership to the quality team and cross-functional staff. Act as the subject matter expert for materials and installation issues in support of Sales and Operations. Education & Experience: Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. 5+ years of quality management experience, preferably in metal fabrication, construction materials, or related industries. Proven track record in managing warranty claims and resolving complex supplier quality issues. Strong working knowledge of PPAP, APQP or similar standards. Proficient in problem-solving tools and statistical analysis. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Preferred: Six Sigma certification or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Experience with IAS 472/473. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Work is performed in a factory environment and office environment. Factory is unheated and unairconditioned. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires visual acuity to inspect parts and identify failures. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work will require the periodic operation of factory machinery and equipment. The work is active and requires extensive reading and ability to understand, take, and give verbal and written instruction. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand.
