May maintain, repair and install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, odor systems, and negative pressure systems Installs and sets up new equipment and communicate with vendors regarding maintenance schedules. Maintains familiarity with quality control measures and calculations required for applicable methods. Ensures laboratory glassware is properly cleaned and maintained. Performs a satisfactory Initial Demonstration of Capability (IDOC) prior to data reporting for any method the laboratory technician will be conducting analysis. Maintains a satisfactory annual Demonstration of Capability (DOC) for each method. Performs other related duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Some knowledge of chemistry principles and practices including analysis and evaluation, and waste processing protocols. Performing proper analysis and recording results. Utilizes computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting; and problem solving. Incumbent must demonstrate attention to detail. Quality Lab Technician- Your future position?

As a Quality Lab Technician with Givaudan, the global leader in fragrance and flavor industry, you will under limited supervision to inspect and analyze raw materials, in-process as well as finished product samples to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications and standards. This position will be report to Quality Team Leader.

In this exciting role you also will:

  • Perform chemical and sensory evaluations.
  • Create sensory plan and lead sensory evaluations of products.
  • Enter test results into SAP timely resulting in an acceptance or rejection.
  • Performs basic equipment calibrations per frequency noted in calibration procedures.
  • Perform instruments, equipment and quality deviations troubleshooting in laboratory.
  • Maintain work a hygienic, 5S implementation and safe work environment.
  • Provide backup and support to team members as necessary.
  • Identify opportunity for improvements in QC and set proactive measure for trouble prevention.
