This position will be responsible for safely installing, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems, components of machinery and equipment in a Plywood Industrial mill setting (i.e. conveyor systems, production machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and packaging equipment). The Plywood mill is a three-shift operation. The hourly rate for this position is $32.15- $37.90, depending on experience. Essential Job Functions: Performs all required hydraulic and pneumatic equipment maintenance. Performs minor and major equipment repair (including, but not limited to changing motors, replacing bearings, repairing and replacing chains and sprockets, replacing chain raceways and plastic wear strips, changing cylinders, changing belts). Builds structures using a combination of metal and woodworking tools. Repairs machine parts and builds new parts when necessary. Your Opportunity: The Occasions Group, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking Temporary Production Leadership Internships for the 2025 fall semester in our Rexburg, Idaho facility. This position will be a team leader overseeing certain departments in the production area. There will be 600+ employees hired to process fourth-quarter customer orders of about 8 million holiday cards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Workflow management
  • Assist in employee training
  • Manage employee scheduling
  • Manage people performance, communication, and information sharing passed from shift to shift

Your Shift:

  • Shift 1 is 6:00am- 2:00pm, 8am- 4pm, and 10am- 6pm
  • Shift 2 is 12pm- 8pm and 2pm- 10pm
  • Shift 3 is 10:00pm- 6:00am
  • Be ready to start as early as September 22nd with 2nd and 3rd shift start dates staggered in the following weeks

You Must Have:

  • Some form of leadership experience. This position may oversee approximately 10-35 people
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to take on additional leadership training
  • Take instructions from existing leadership members
  • Must be able to work 8-hour shifts
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday (Be available to work Saturdays or Sundays during peak weeks.)
  • Must be available to work the day after and the weekend after Thanksgiving
  • Basic computer skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to motivate your team during the peak season time that is critical to the business

Requirements within this position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
