Position Summary

The Professional Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while driving sales growth within an assigned territory. This role works closely with residential homebuilders, remodeling contractors, designers, and commercial customers to provide product solutions, prepare proposals, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Success in this position requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding business within assigned accounts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with builders, remodelers, contractors, and other industry professionals.
• Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, and proposals using company systems and pricing guidelines.
• Follow up on outstanding proposals and sales opportunities to maximize closing ratios.
• Collaborate with internal design and support teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Analyze sales trends, market opportunities, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of current product offerings, new product introductions, and industry trends.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
• Track sales activity and maintain accurate customer records.
• Work independently while contributing to overall team sales goals and company objectives.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous experience in business-to-business or construction-related sales.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management software.

Preferred

• Experience selling cabinets, countertops, closets, flooring, millwork, windows, doors, or other residential building products.
• Knowledge of residential construction, remodeling, or interior design.
• Ability to read and interpret residential or commercial blueprints.
• Experience working with builders, architects, designers, or general contractors.

Work Environment

This position is based primarily in an office setting with regular interaction with customers, builders, contractors, and internal team members. Occasional travel to customer locations and job sites may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and customer locations.
• Occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, phones, and printers.
