Prepares client billing as required Assists with the discovery process, including preparing for deposition, propounding and responding to written discovery and preparing for expert discovery Oversees and conducts document reviews; prepares documentation regarding criteria changes; tracks and reports on review progress and results Performs analytical tasks, including preparing witness interview memoranda, reviewing and summarizing documents and deposition and court transcripts and creating and using substantive coding tools Performs and oversees both simple and complex cite checking and proof reading of briefs and other legal documents Assists with trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks, identifying and organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, maintaining trial calendars and communicating effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staff Assists with printing, scanning, organizing exhibit binders, preparing UPS labels and certified letters Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred Minimum 10 years of experience as a legal secretary, working in a business law practice with exposure to litigation Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document -management and other office technologies, expertise in e-filing Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly Ideally, you will also have: Established understanding of litigation laws as they relate to individuals, partnerships and corporations. Job Description:

Centersquare is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial Transactions) to join the legal team. This attorney will be a proactive business partner that helps Centersquare achieve its strategic objectives in a dynamic, exciting business through support and advice on a variety of commercial transactions. This position will primarily be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer and partner contracts for Centersquare's data center services business.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft and negotiate customer and supplier technology transactions, including services agreements, procurement contracts, and channel/partner contracts
  • Advise business departments on legal issues and risks, approval processes, and company policies and procedures
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of form agreements, contract playbooks, and legal processes
  • Ensure that documentation and processes are compliant with current laws, client requirements, and industry best practices
  • Oversee maintenance of contracts and ensure proper documentation for renewals and existing contracts
  • Provide effective legal advice and support on related legal issues as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned on other transactional or commercial legal matters

Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school
  • An active license to practice law in the United States
  • 10+ years commercial transactional experience in a law firm or in an in-house legal department; in house legal experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial transaction agreements, primary focus on the sales side a plus
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, strong business acumen, and high integrity
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business clients and other members of the Legal Department
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently in a dynamic business environment
  • Effective problem solver with focus on achieving business objectives while employing effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience with management and/or training junior attorneys and legal professionals a plus
