POSITION SUMMARY: A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, a Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company's safety standards prior to operating the vehicle, ensures that all Company, state and federal regulations are adhered to at all times while operating the vehicle, and completes vehicle condition reports ("VCRs") on a daily basis to ensure that any vehicle defects are repaired in a timely manner. Box Truck Driver, will collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. Will be required to load and unload trucks. They will have the ability to operate a variety of truck and equipment including vacuum trucks, box trucks and any other equipment that fits their license. Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, etc. Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment. Safely load, transport and unload a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous goods. Complete all required transport documents including pre & post trip inspections. Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner. Perform driver check-ins at day's end to ensure complete and accurate run/paperwork completion. Requirements: High School diploma minimum. 1+ year of driving experience Valid Class B Driver's License Airbrake, hazmat and tanker endorsements. Shift work with overtime as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Mechanical aptitude. Strong work ethic. Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
