Operate dump, flat bed, or other trucks in picking up and delivering materials, debris, tools and supplies, related to water and sewer maintenance or construction work, hauling pipe, fittings, structures, cold patch, gravel, sand, and rocks.2. Services vehicles with gas, oil, and water and performs minor maintenance work; notifies superior and mechanics of need of repair. Assists mechanics in repair of vehicles as necessary.3. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computer, cellular phones, driver cameras, GPS equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisor or other drivers. Load or unload trucks or help other with loading or unloading, using loading-related equipment or other equipment as necessary. Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices. Performs other driver related duties as assigned. Adheres to company policies and work requirements. Required Skills/Abilities: The ability to read, write, understand, and relay, written and verbal instructions. Ability to operate available equipment, such as calculators, or scanners. Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds. Knowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of on-the-job training. Two years of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be in adequate physical condition to perform requirements such as mental, physical and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely according to all Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations and requirements. Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds regularly. Must wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or operating equipment. Other Requirements: Successfully pass a DOT drug test as requested, a DOT physical capacity assessment, a background and motor vehicle check. Must maintain a valid commercial driver’s license and driving record that meets the organization safe driving standards. Salary Range: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour.   • 6 months experience of verifiable recent tractor-trailer experience in the past 12 months; or 12 months in the past 5 years
  • 3 months exp will be considered if driver has only been with one carrier and has a clean MVR
