To that end, our CDL Art Transportation Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe handling of artwork, during transit, from one Crozier facility to another. In addition, the candidate will be assisting with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring the integrity of all artworks stays intact. RESPONSIBILITIES Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing and crating using appropriate techniques and materials Planning the organization, load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit Conduct inspection reports for various types of art objects. Act as liaison while onsite between clients and company management. Safely operate company vehicles and transport artwork to multiple locations in the US Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations Perform all required truck inspections. Position Summary Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, special inspections and general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal and state regulations and Company standards. Duties and Responsibilities: The Diesel Truck Mechanic diagnoses and repair tractors and trailers. Perform annual/systematic 90-day inspection in order to ensure equipment meets federal FHWA standards. The Mechanic performs HM inspections The Mechanic adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Experienced in the use of inspection and test equipment used for cargo tank inspections Essential Qualifications: Must have own tools Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently Physical Demands: Use arms to reach and stretch; hands and fingers to grasp, move, or assemble objects of a variety of sizes, and to also manipulate a variety of objects, tools, devices, and controls. Use legs to stand for long period of time, maneuver through shop environment, and perform a variety of locomotive functions which may include crawling, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and carrying or relocating objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Perform broad locomotive motions, at times in a rapid fashion, such as bending, twisting, balancing in stable and unstable positions, and reaching, with the capacity to use bodily muscles to sustain these motions for long periods of time without fatigue. Perform fine locomotive motions, at times in a rapid fashion, that involve the use of fingers for the manipulation of tools. Adjust, execute, maintain, and repeat all bodily motions, postures, and stances in order to accommodate to rapid and gradual changes within the work environment as necessary. Visually identify and focus on objects at close and distant ranges, and at central and peripheral locations, with the ability to identify their distances, depths, and colors in environments of varying lighting. While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side. Use auditory senses in order to hear and isolate specific sounds, understand speech, and recognize their differences in a variety of environments of varying sound levels. Speak clearly and at necessary volumes in a variety of environments of varying sound levels. Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. We are currently seeking enthusiastic candidates who have recently completed a technical school program or gained experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, automotive garages, or auto dealerships. What You’ll Do: 

You will perform preventative maintenance functions on our fleet of vehicles, including box trucks and cargo vans. This includes oil and fluid changes, tire repairs and rotations, and performing all tasks in a safe manner. Depending on your experience, you may be assigned basic repairs or assist our experienced auto mechanics. May be required to drive a Budget Truck on public access roads.

What We’re Looking For:   

  • Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B or C) 

  • Proven car mechanical or maintenance skills  

  • Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise level  

  • Basic computer skills (typing, data entry)  

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, kneel, get up and get down from a seated position, enter, exit, climb into, climb down from, and drive a variety of automobiles, cargo vans and box trucks in all weather conditions 

  • At least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States 

  • On-Site Requirement: This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely 

  • Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance 

 

6 months auto maintenance or auto tech school degree a bonus!
