This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials to and from job sites, quarries, and asphalt plants. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with general labor tasks such as miscellaneous maintenance of equipment, and shoveling, sweeping, and cleaning of work areas. Dispatched travel is within a 60-mile radius of a designated start and end location, ensuring that drivers are home each evening. Key Responsibilities: Operate Equipment: Safely operate triaxle or tandem dump trucks to haul materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or asphalt. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company, State, and Federal trucking laws and regulations, including weight limits, defensive driving practices, and proper load tarping. Follow Directions: Take direction from supervisors regarding assignments, routes, and operational procedures. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor dashboard gauges, and maintain truck cleanliness, reporting any major issues to the Supervisor. Monitor Site Conditions: Stay alert to road conditions, job site hazards, and changes in assignments via CB radio communication. Foster Teamwork and Respect: Work professionally with co-workers, dispatchers, and site personnel to ensure efficient operations and a collaborative work environment. Documentation: Accurately complete and submit daily logs, truck reports, and other required documentation in compliance with company, State, and Federal regulations. Weather Readiness: Be prepared to operate in various weather conditions while ensuring safe transport of materials. Physical Tasks: Perform additional tasks as needed, including keeping the truck bed clean and free of material buildup. Qualifications: Experience: 1 year of experience performing similar key responsibilities in commercial driving preferred. Certification/License: Must possess a valid CDL. Must have a current medical certificate. Must pass a Clearinghouse check and maintain a clean driving record. Additional Skills: Strong attention to safety and adherence to protocols. Physical Requirements: DOT Physical Examination: Certification from a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examiner (in the U.S.) to ensure fitness for operating heavy vehicles. Strength & Endurance: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. frequently. Sitting for Long Periods: Extended periods of driving (8+ hours) while maintaining alertness. Climbing & Balancing: Climbing in and out of the truck cab multiple times a day, often using ladders or steps. Manual Dexterity: Operating truck controls, levers, and sometimes tarping systems. Walking & Standing: Walking around job sites, inspecting the vehicle, and securing loads. Kneeling & Bending: Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking undercarriage and tires. Good Vision & Hearing: Adequate vision for reading gauges, spotting hazards, and navigating traffic; hearing to communicate with site personnel and hear alarms/horns. Candidates should be prepared to work in occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, dust, and mud. They must also be available for irregular hours and overtime shifts as needed. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves sitting, walking, climbing, and bending for extended periods. About this Role:

Warehouse/ Delivery Driver provide support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and loading and unloading orders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection, report deficiencies to the shop immediately, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Assistant Transportation Manager.
  • Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
  • Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive instructions.
  • Follow all established safety rules & regulations.
  • Special projects assigned by management.

Schedule:

  • Sunday-Thursday
  • Monday-Friday

About the Pay:
