The ability to lift, push or pull 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Working Conditions: Work outdoors in different weather conditions. Exposure to used cooking oil odors. General Summary The Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a water tanker truck to transport water for use throughout job sites, drainage, and structures to control dust by spraying water on roadways or to achieve compaction of construction materials. Essential Job Accountabilities Filling the truck with water from approved supply sources. May drive truck equipped with sprinkling attachment to settle dust on roadways and streets to saturate flexible base for compaction. Distinguish when roads are over-watered, creating unsafe operating conditions. Safety operate truck in often unstable ground conditions. Perform pre- and post-inspections on truck, pursuant to DOT regulations, company guidelines and manufacture's specifications. Maintain the equipment according to the standards set in place by the company and manufacturer's specifications. Assist crews with other tasks as required when not operating water truck. Perform other duties as required. Education Class A or B CDL driver's license with tanker endorsement, required. High School Diploma or GED, preferred. Schedule: 5:00 am start time Monday through Friday. Home daily!

Starting hourly rate: $29.00 to $30.00

What you need to drive:

  • A valid CDL A license with Tanker Endorsement.
  • 3 Years of CDL Driving Experience.
  • Air Brake Endorsement.
  • DOT certified medical card.
  • Good driving record. Safety risk rating within Mahoney acceptable standards.
  • Sitting 50% of the time.
  • Handling 2" and 3" hoses while pumping grease.
  • The ability to lift, push or pull 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Exposure to used cooking oil odors.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Handling grease coated equipment.

Driver job duties:

  • Remove waste cooking oil from tanks at customer site.
  • Operate pump truck in a safe and professional manner.
  • Clean and maintain customers' tanks and surrounding area.
  • Prepare truck tools at the start of day and perform pre/post trip inspections.
  • Comply with e-log requirements and use tablet.
  • Other duties as assigned.
