Overview
The Pharmacy Technician–Infusion and Replenishment, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist. This position will focus on assisting with the fulfillment for infusion patients, as well as the replenishment and maintenance of pharmaceuticals, equipment, and medical supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required. Prior experience working in an institutional setting handling pumps, IV equipment, home infusion, or product purchasing preferred.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Experience working with an online claims processing system is preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and an aptitude for working with other healthcare professionals.

Essential Accountabilities
- Maintain patient records, including infusion orders.
- Assist in appointment coordination for infusion patients when necessary.
- Set up, package, and label medication doses.
- Perform designated tasks regarding processing of equipment and supply orders.
- Package and ship specialty prescriptions, infusion orders, product returns, and equipment for maintenance.
- Maintain infusion pump maintenance logs and coordinate replacement and maintenance as required to product manual.
- Coordinate stock infusion supplies with nursing support based on patient need.
- Assist Pharmacy Buyer to maintain adequate inventory processes and organization of equipment, pumps, infusion supplies, outdated pharmaceuticals, quarantined items, and packaging supplies.
- Assist as necessary in replenishment of incoming specialty pharmacy stock replenishment.
- Assist as necessary in physical inventory.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling.
- Ensure separation of duties applicable to purchase, replenishment, inventory, and payment are adhered to.
- Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage, packaging, and/or related issues.
- Proper rotation of stock, supplies, packaging materials, and shipping supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the registered and packaging space.
- Must function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.
In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
