The Pharmacy Account Manager will provide pharmaceutical and business development support to Medica's account services, business development and proposal teams. This includes marketing new and existing clinical strategies to control pharmacy costs, as well as a diverse pharmacy product and services portfolio. You will support the RFP/RFI process and help set retention strategies for designated existing clients to continually demonstrate the value of Medica pharmacy products and services while supporting implementation strategies to ensure a seamless transition for new clients. Key Accountabilities Serve as a pharmacy resource by working cross functionally to understand Medica's pharmacy products and services and develop a segment specific PBM strategy around value creation and retention. Serve as a clinical liaison and subject matter resource between PBMs, clients, prospects, internal pharmacy operations and client experience teams and Present pharmacy value proposition at broker and benefit consultant forums Support the development of sales training and marketing materials in accordance with Medica's pharmacy benefit value proposition for each segment (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Individual and Family Business) at Medica. Collaborate on the development of Medica's strategy for managing drug costs and assist account management and sales staff in selling pharmacy products and services. Support the development and ongoing maintenance of strategic sales messages for responses to RFP/RFI from customers and consultants. Will participate in finalist presentations, customer presentations and strategic account meetings across designated clients. Analyze, interpret, and develop written recommendations using client specific claims data to improve overall healthcare outcomes and control client specific drug spend. Translate complex clinical information into effective communications with both clinical and non-clinical external and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with Medica's Enterprise Analytics department to align reporting capabilities promoting Medica's Pharmacy financial value to our self-funded customers. Collaborate with the product and market implementation team in the development and marketing of pharmacy related products and services. Use industry knowledge to assist in developing customer centric solutions to current pharmacy/healthcare trends affecting their overall cost. Understand the clinical landscape and effectively communicate clinical changes to programs, services, and formularies to key customers as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications PharmD required Current active and unrestricted Pharmacy license 7+ years of experience in a PBM, health plan, pharmaceutical sales, or related industry Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Business Administration preferred. Ability to coach and mentor others. This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, Madison, WI, Omaha, NE, or St. Louis, MO. The full salary range for this position is $111,200 - $190,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary. Job Description:

Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college or university is required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmacy operations within a health plan, hospital system, or integrated delivery network.
