Responsibilities Performs advanced level maintenance and service on automated equipment. Uses electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Repairs and diagnoses faulty electrical equipment and circuits including; motors, motor controllers, circuit boards, power supplies, and IO modules.   • ensure continuous improvement and maintain a competitive advantage by understanding metrics as they relate to sales and service in your pharmacy, using best practices and making sound business decisions as the pharmacist-in-charge
  • be regarded as an expert on the pharmacy technology system and how it is used for both routine and complex prescription processing
  • excel in managing medication on-hand inventory and regarded as an expert in pharmacy inventory operations
  • mentor others on best practices to maximize sales, minimize shrink while meeting customers' needs while using programs such as auto refill and Sync Your Refills
  • proactively advance pharmacy clinical initiatives including Medication Therapy Management (MTM)and immunizations
  • participate locally as a community pharmacist in events that will meet the unique health and preventative care needs within the local area, such as health screenings and immunizations
  • maintain a flexible work-week schedule in order to meet the needs of our customers, and
  • assist in all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for the position of Pharmacy Manager are:

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy
  • must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license
  • must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter and
  • must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications for the position of Pharmacy Manager include:

  • be an immunizing pharmacist meeting the requirements as established by the state (or be scheduled to become an immunizer in the next set of training classes)
  • ability to understand profit and loss statements
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to define problems, plan work, utilize logic, and draw conclusions
  • numerical and financial aptitude and
  • knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
