Rotating- 08 Hour (United States of America) Stanford Health Care (SHC) is a Level 1 Trauma Center (Adult and Pediatric), Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Cardiac Center, receiving approximately 100,000 annual visits. The emergency department comprises of 66 adult treatment rooms (9 trauma resuscitation bays) and 18 pediatric treatment rooms. Clinical pharmacists at Stanford Health Care cover all acute patient care areas. The emergency department is staffed by an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist 24 hours/7 days a week. The PGY-2 Emergency Medicine (EM) Pharmacy Residency Program at SHC provides specialized, practical pharmacy training in diverse emergency medicine settings that builds on skills gained from a PGY-1 general practice residency. Our goal is to train highly qualified and motivated new practitioners as they develop into the medication experts of the interdisciplinary emergency medicine team.
