Key Responsibilities Lead Pharmacy Strategy: Direct the vision, structure, and execution of our pharmacy consulting initiatives, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry best practices. Enhance Analytics & Technology: Oversee development and optimization of our technology and pricing platform to deliver sophisticated benchmarking, pricing analysis, and PBM evaluations. Client Engagement: Partner with consultants and account teams to lead pharmacy strategy discussions for large and complex clients; serve as a subject-matter expert for executive-level meetings and renewals. Education & Thought Leadership: Provide internal training to strengthen pharmacy knowledge across the brokerage, represent Cottingham & Butler in industry forums, and contribute to market visibility through thought leadership initiatives. Business Development: Support sales teams in winning new business by integrating pharmacy consulting into proposals, RFPs, and presentations. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the pharmacy analytics team, ensuring high-quality deliverables, standardization, and continuous improvement across all pharmacy-related client work. Cross-Company Collaboration: Partner with sister organizations (including our TPA, wellness, and captive entities) to align pharmacy strategy across Cottingham & Butler’s ecosystem. What You Bring Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required; MBA or relevant business experience preferred. Experience: 10+ years of experience in pharmacy benefit management, consulting, or managed care leadership. Proven success leading teams and managing PBM strategy, pricing, or contracting. Deep understanding of employer-sponsored benefits and the healthcare ecosystem. Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills with an ability to simplify complex pharmacy concepts. Strategic thinker who can blend clinical insight with business growth objectives. Collaborative leadership style and a passion for innovation in pharmacy management. Location: Your home base will be 1600 Montana Ave., Suite P1, El Paso, TX 79902, but you will also need to cover the other sites in El Paso for PTO and call outs Schedule: The ability to cover PTO and call outs during the week; Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm MST Primary Responsibilities: Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements Performs various clerical duties relating to the department Communicate with solid professional verbal and written communication skills Administration of vaccines Other duties as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas (not a trainee license) National Pharmacy Technician Certification Immunization certified or the ability to become certified within 60 days of employment Ability to use your own car to travel to other sites in El Paso for coverage when needed Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license Bilingual in Spanish and English Preferred Qualifications: Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience Patient assistance program experience Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Job Description

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Services to lead the continued growth and integration of pharmacy expertise within our Employee Benefits practice. This role represents a strategic investment in expanding our clinical capabilities, advancing our analytical and consulting platforms, and driving innovative strategies that improve affordability, outcomes, and value for our clients.

The Director of Pharmacy Services will bring a blend of clinical insight, business acumen, and leadership to evolve how we approach pharmacy management in the employer market. This position will oversee our pharmacy consulting direction across the brokerage while also assisting wholesale channels, working closely with analysts, consultants, and leadership teams to deliver best-in-class pharmacy strategy and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Pharmacy Strategy: Direct the vision, structure, and execution of our pharmacy consulting initiatives, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry best practices.
  • Enhance Analytics & Technology: Oversee development and optimization of our technology and pricing platform to deliver sophisticated benchmarking, pricing analysis, and PBM evaluations.
  • Client Engagement: Partner with consultants and account teams to lead pharmacy strategy discussions for large and complex clients; serve as a subject-matter expert for executive-level meetings and renewals.
  • Education & Thought Leadership: Provide internal training to strengthen pharmacy knowledge across the brokerage, represent Cottingham & Butler in industry forums, and contribute to market visibility through thought leadership initiatives.
  • Business Development: Support sales teams in winning new business by integrating pharmacy consulting into proposals, RFPs, and presentations.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the pharmacy analytics team, ensuring high-quality deliverables, standardization, and continuous improvement across all pharmacy-related client work.
  • Cross-Company Collaboration: Partner with sister organizations (including our TPA, wellness, and captive entities) to align pharmacy strategy across Cottingham & Butler’s ecosystem.

What You Bring

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required; MBA or relevant business experience preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in pharmacy benefit management, consulting, or managed care leadership.
    • Proven success leading teams and managing PBM strategy, pricing, or contracting.
    • Deep understanding of employer-sponsored benefits and the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and communication skills with an ability to simplify complex pharmacy concepts.
    • Strategic thinker who can blend clinical insight with business growth objectives.
    • Collaborative leadership style and a passion for innovation in pharmacy management.
