Responsibilities: General Duties: Assess patient responses to drug therapy and plan drug therapy based on physician-established diagnoses. Prepare and fill physician orders for IV solutions, parenteral, and inpatient unit dose orders. Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure sterility of IV products. Participate in quality assurance data collection and review. Qualifications: Minimum one (1) year of experience within the last five (5) years as an inpatient, outpatient, or oncology pharmacy technician. Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a similar program, including military training programs. Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT), or CHPhT. Purpose:

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient use under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, in accordance with federal and state laws, and Patient Service Center policies. This position reports to the Manager of Pharmacy Operations.

  • Assists pharmacist(s) with pharmacy fulfillment activities
